Conservation is deeply rooted in colonialism, with decisions being made without accounting the worldview of the indigenous peoples that have inhabited and protected the land from millennia. In a world where we decided to put unnatural borders that created 193 countries, that’s inhabited by more than 7 billion people, being born in one place or another is completely random. It’s only natural that we’re drawn to moving around. The only thing that’s stopping us is fear. Fear of the ‘others’, fear of change, fear of losing our privilege. But the world is full of kindness, we just need to go out to adjust our perspective – Experiencing the Globe
